Bio of owner: From an early age, building tree forts for his friends, John Cannon had a calling to build. After earning a degree in building construction from Michigan State University, he moved to Sarasota to work as a management trainee for a national builder. Quickly moving up the ranks, he began overseeing projects on Florida's east coast. Soon, Cannon returned to Sarasota, where he met and married his wife, Phillipa. Almost immediately after starting their life together, they began a home-building business in their garage.
