The Collection of Homes Book features stunning exterior elevations, breathtaking interior views that feature living and dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and baths along with outdoor living spaces. Included in the 96 pages is a section purely devoted to resources that are utilized in building a John Cannon Homes home. The book received the following three awards:

  • Gold ADDY: in the four-color brochure category
  • Amy Award: given to the highest scoring entries
  • Judges’ Choice Award: Best of Print, four-color brochure category

Heather Raetz, the art director for SMITH, the agency who worked in partnership with the John Cannon Team in creating this book, was recognized by the judges as Art Director of the Year. The book was submitted by SMITH Advertising on behalf of John Cannon Homes.

“More than a showcase of homes, this book will become an idea book for past, present and future John Cannon Homes home owners. This book will give prospective buyers a place to begin thinking about what they can do to make their homes uniquely ‘theirs,’” says Nancy Hielscher, marketing coordinator for John Cannon Homes.

About John Cannon Homes: Since 1987, John Cannon Homes, Inc. has set the standard in luxury custom home building and design, creating distinctive homes for those who appreciate the fine art of living well.

About the ADDY Awards: The ADDYs are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY Awards are the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 14 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY Awards competition.

Selection of the most creative entry in each category is effected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. In each category, GOLD ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the competition. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category.
